Do I have to commit to a minimum number of lessons?

If you’ve ever signed yourself or your kids up for a sports class, you know you commit to the full six weeks or two months or however long up front, and that there’s no prorating or refunding if you can’t make a class or have to drop out.

Here at Haven Music Lessons, we do things differently. One of the main appeals of in-home music lessons is the flexibility to make it work with your busy life, and we do our best to honor that by making our lessons as flexible and low-commitment as possible.

All of our lessons, regardless of instrument or instructor, are $75 for each 30-minute lesson, and they’re paid up front at the start of each month. Read on to get the details of what happens if you need to change your schedule, pause your lessons, or cancel altogether.

Pausing or Canceling Your Lessons

Because of our month-to-month payment plan, if you ever want to pause or cancel your lessons, there’s no need to pay a fee or submit a form. Just don’t pay your invoice for the next month. As a courtesy to our instructors, we ask that you give us at least a week’s notice so that there isn’t any misunderstanding. If you’re only wanting to pause your lessons for a short time (for example, during a summer vacation), the process is essentially the same. But please remember, you are always welcome to contact us. We are happy to help you any way we can. If you want to pause your lessons for a set amount of time and start them again on a specific date, reach out to us so we can help you coordinate that. There are no penalties or fees. As a Haven Music Lessons student, you’re entitled to the full support of our office staff at no additional charge.
